PROJECT
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2-kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD together with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.
Floth are responsible for all building services within the stations, which incorporate significant civic spaces including concourses, mezzanines, platforms and associated support facilities, designed to provide reliable service to the public over a 50-year design life.
SPECIAL ENGINEERING FEATURES
- Whilst the project is still in the design phase, Floth has been instrumental in the application of the latest BIM technologies ensuring a totally “digital design” process which is one of the key aspirations of the stake holders.
- Floth has been an active participant in this large-scale infrastructure project, coordinating with all team members and their respective services, both within the real world and digital environments to ensure all documentation milestones have been meet or exceeded.
PROJECT RECOGNITION
- Targeting a rating of ‘Excellent’ using the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating tool (Version 1.2) for Design and As-Built stages.
