MELBOURNE OFFICE – NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM
Michael Barber – Melbourne Office Manager & Principal Mechanical Engineer
We are pleased to announce our new Melbourne Office Management Team, who will be working closely with Tim Philp, our Director responsible for Victoria & Western Australia.
Michael has over 12 years’ experience in successfully leading large projects in Melbourne’s CBD. His key skills include technical design and calculations for all aspects of mechanical services, multi-disciplinary coordination and client relationship development and management. He has also led and managed resourcing for a team of 45 mechanical engineers and drafters.
Michael has worked on a wide range of projects through numerous sectors including Education, Commercial, Residential, Sporting Precincts and Stadiums, Retail, Healthcare, Fit-outs, Galleries, Pharmaceutical and more.
He has worked on key architectural projects such as the Parliament of Victoria Members’ Annexe building and the State Library Vision 2020 redevelopment, which have both been recipients of multiple awards at the Victoria Architecture Awards over the last few years. He has also worked on numerous projects at the iconic MCG and on many of Melbourne’s new and existing towers.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and is registered on the Victorian Building Practitioners Board.
Tim Macleod – Melbourne Assistant Office Manager & Principal Hydraulic Engineer
Tim has seven years’ experience working as a Hydraulic Engineer and project manager leading large-scale multi-disciplinary projects in the Melbourne market. Tim has also led and managed resourcing for a team of 18 hydraulic engineers and drafters.
Tim has worked on a variety of projects, including the Melbourne Metro Over Station Development South, Growth Areas School Project – VSBA, CSL Behring – Project Aurora and the award-winning State Library of Victoria Refurbishment.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours), a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and is registered on the Victorian Building Practitioners Board.
