FLOTH’S HEAD OFFICE BECOMES QUEENSLAND’S FIRST CARBON NEUTRAL CERTIFIED BUILDING
Floth’s Brisbane head office at 69 Robertson Street Fortitude Valley has been certified as the first Carbon Neutral building in Queensland by the Australian government’s National Carbon Offset Standard for buildings.
The National Carbon Offset Standard is a voluntary standard to manage greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve carbon neutrality. It provides best-practice guidance on how to measure, reduce, offset, report and audit emissions for organisations, products & services, events, precincts and buildings (https://www.environment.gov.au/climate-change/government/carbon-neutral/ncos)
It was also the first building that has formally and publicly adopted the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council’s (ASBEC) standard definition of a zero-carbon building.
