FLOTH CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY
Today is International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), brought to you by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES), a charity and professional network of women engineers scientists and technologists offering inspiration, support and professional development.
This INWED, Floth would like to encourage more women to consider engineering as a profession. An equal representation of women in engineering would provide the industry with different perspectives, creativity and innovation and would better reflect the community as a whole.
Floth embraces equality in the workplace, values the unique differences between genders and enjoys the positive impact this variety adds to our business.
We would also like to take this opportunity to recognise our female engineers – trailblazing a path for future generations of aspiring young women:
- Shideh Badeleh – Senior Mechanical Engineer (Sydney)
- Rachael McGowan – Senior Hydraulic & Fire Consultant (Perth)
- Rose Sadabadi – NSW Lead Fire Protection Consultant (Sydney)
- Carmen Arama – Senior Electrical Engineer (Perth)
- Hai-Ryun Song – Hydraulic Engineer (Melbourne)
We would also like to celebrate all our female staff from our CAD team, administration and accounts who all contribute to the success of our business.
INWED gives women engineers around the world a profile when they are still hugely under-represented in their professionals. As the only platform of its kind, INWED plays a vital role in encouraging more young women and girls to take up engineering careers.
